Delmarva StarGaze, April '99 - Queen Anne, MD

(See my article I wrote for my High School newspaper detailing this event)

The Delmarva StarGazers were gracious enough to place a sign letting everyone know that they have arrived at the correct place.

While not too large, the swapmeet did offer some great deals. New Jersey eyepiece-maker, Paul Rini set up under the tent to sell his eyepieces and share his experience. Also selling lots of astro-goodies was Gary Hand, of Hands on Optics, Kent Blackwell and Buddy Love, among others.

This is our usual spot down at the StarGaze. This is the Eastern side of the field. The entire western, northern and southwestern parts of the sky were totally unobstructed. The southern sky was still decent from this spot. The motor home you see is our 1973 Mini-Winnie that we take to all the star parties (we've put 1500+ miles on her in the last two years going to star parties). Also pictured is of course my Stellafane-prize winning yellow Dob.
